In order to help the gaming industry further enhance its commitment to sustainability, Cintas Corporation (NASDAQ: CTAS) today introduced the new Jacquard Striped Shirt for casinos. Partially made of recycled polyester fabrics, the new blouse offers a stylish and environmentally-friendly alternative to garments made of traditional cotton and polyester blends.

"Today's casinos are becoming increasingly proactive about incorporating sustainability into their business operations," said Todd McKeown, Vice President of Hospitality at Cintas. "The Jacquard Striped Shirt, designed specifically for the gaming industry, gives casinos even more options for going "green" in a way that's stylish and comfortable."

It has been estimated that Americans throw away more than 2.5 million plastic bottles every hour. To help reduce landfill waste, the Jacquard Striped Shirt and other garments within Cintas' EcoGeneration(TM) collection are created using an innovative plastic-to-fiber process. Plastic bottles are diverted from landfills and transformed into recycled polyester fibers, which are then woven into wearable fabrics. Approximately five plastic bottles are recycled in the creation of each Jacquard Striped Shirt.

"Both casino guests and employees are attracted to facilities that value sustainability and conservation of earth's natural resources," said McKeown. "With this new sustainable shirt and similar garments from Cintas, casinos can further elevate their image from the front to the back of the house."

Made of a 68/32 polyester/recycled polyester mix, the Jacquard Striped Shirt features moisture-control fabric for maximum dryness and comfort. Available in misses' and women's sizes, the shirt can be ordered in six colors: paprika, wine, black, cobalt, Caribbean blue and curry. In addition, the shirt features adjustable cuffs and can be laundered at home, eliminating the need for expensive dry cleaning and the use of potentially caustic chemicals used in the dry cleaning process.
