A new documentary about the consequences of climate change is being filmed in the islands of Indonesia. Production started on September 1st and will include a series of interviews with Indonesian environmental figures as part of the narration about Indonesian rainforests, which deals with the issues of forest fires, wildlife conservation and palm oil plantations.
The list of interviewees include President Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono, Presidential Working Unit for Supervision and Management of Development (UKP4) chief Kuntoro Mangkusubroto, Forestry Minister Zulkifli Hasan, plantation businessman Franky Widjaja and Indonesian Chamber of Commerce and Industry (Kadin) deputy chair for the environment and climate change Shinta Widjaja Kamdani.
Shooting of the documentary is underway in Jakarta and will move on to Riau. It is scheduled to premiere in April 2014. James Cameron and Arnold Schwarzenegger are producing while Harrison Ford will narrate and conduct interviews.
