Bob Marley’s family started the foundation 1Love.org, a non-profit that helps people give back and participate in the Marley missions to give the world a peaceful, clean and hopeful future. 1Love.org and the Marley family has recently made a donation in the amount of $100,000 to Charity:Water, a non-pr
ofit that focuses on bringing clean, safe drinking water to developing nations.
Rita, Ziggy and Rohan Marley along with other members of the Marley family raised the funds through donations and the family’s businesses, The House of Marley and Marley’s Mellow Mood 100% natural relaxation beverages.
Reggae icon, Rita Marley, said of the generous donation, “We are so deeply grateful to have the support of so many fans, friends, and partners to provide access to clean water for thousands of our brothers and sisters in Ethiopia. The need is so great and time is so short. 1Love.org provides an online home for those who share our family’s values and lifelong commitment to better the global community for which we must all be responsible.”
