This is certainly an effective way of drawing attention to a good cause.
Gisele Bundchen hosted the United Nation's Premier Global Environmental Awards in New York last night and as the programme's Goodwill Ambassador the supermodel did her very best to ensure the event was in the spotlight.
Mis sion accomplished – no one could take their eyes off the stunning Brazilian as she played up to the cameras in a tight-fitting white dress that showed off her supermodel figure to perfection.
The 30-year-old's body-hugging white frock from Victoria Beckham's AW11 collection showed off her flat stomach and toned legs. It's the second time in a week that Bundchen has chosen a dress by Beckham, who tweeted after seeing the pictures that it was 'a dream come true' to see Gisele in her design.
Gisele posed with Mexican president Felipe Calderon at the event where they announced the WED Challenge she is fronting with actor Don Cheadle.
The two celebrities are using their star power to go head to head in the challenge to see who can rally the most people to make more sustainable choices in their day to day lives.
The competition will run up until World Environment Day on June 5 with participants choosing to join Team Don or Team Gisele.
For every environmentally-friendly decision made by participants, such as riding a bike to work or using reusable shopping bags, Gisele has promised to plant a tree.
Perhaps aware of his opponent Gisele's particular powers of persuasion, Hotel Rwanda star Cheadle, 46, has pledged to plant two trees for every green activity.
The pair have already started exchanging friendly taunts over Twitter as the challenge kicks off.
The former Victoria's Secret Angel wrote: 'That’s right @IamDonCheadle, one of us is going to plant a new Forest. The big winner is the world. The Challenge is on.
She added: 'How are you? Does everyone know about our WED Challenge? I bet I’m going to win lol!!'
Don didn't take her taunts sitting down. He retorted: 'What's up, Gisele? Don't tell me you're chickening out!' Don, who also starred in the Ocean's Eleven film franchise, has his work cut out for him going head to head with Bundchen.
The supermodel is a powerhouse, recently named as the world's highest earning model by Forbes magazine. She has topped the list since 2004, but this year managed to increase her income by $20m to earn a cool $45m.
Proof of Gisele’s star status enhancing came after sales of Pantene shampoo went up by 40 per cent in Latin America after she became the face of the brand in March 2010. German model Heidi Klum came in second place with $20m while British model Kate Moss was third with $13.5m earnings.
