The annual National Plug-In Day will be celebrated for its third consecutive year between September 28-29, 2013 and the expectations are huge. A total of 93 cities across the United States (including Hawaii) will take part in this weekend’s event totally dedicated to green cars.
National Plug-In Day celebrates the electrification of automobiles as a way to be eco-friendly and reduce fuel use. The event gathers plug-in car drivers and advocates to aware and educate public in general on how the cars work and on the benefits of drive eco-cars.
Some of the activities planned for the weekend are electric-car rallies and parades, informational talks, and ride-and-drive sessions to give the uninitiated a first experience on electric driving. Participating cars will include models such as the Nissan Leaf, Chevrolet Volt, and the so expected Tesla Model S, along with and a few older models as well.
