• If you feel heat in or around a light switch, chances are that the wiring inside is working too hard, may need updating, or just overloaded. Call a professional to tend to the issue.
• Flickering lights could be a sign of something more seriously wrong. If you have flickering lights in a certain area of lighting in your home no matter how many times you change the bulbs, this could be a sign of an electrical issue that goes deeper than just simply changing bulbs.
• Sparking when you plug or unplug something may be a sign of electrical issues. If you go to plug something in, or even unplug an appliance, and you notice a spark, contact a professional electrician.
• The smell of something burning should never be overlooked. If you think you smell a burning rubber smell or the smell of smoke, immediately contact a professional electrician to take a look at the situation.
• If you have not had a complete and total inspection of your home’s electrical functionality, then it is time to do something about that. Having your home inspected for electrical difficulties is one of the best things you can do you and your family.
